Supporting our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Mulberry Academy Woodside is an inclusive mainstream school. We value all our students and encourage all learners to strive to achieve their potential. The school is committed to making the principles of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) a reality at Mulberry.
To this end all children and young people are entitled to a fully inclusive education within the mainstream curriculum that enables them to make progress so that they achieve their best, become confident individuals living fulfilling lives, and make a successful transition into adulthood.

Inclusion Department
The Inclusion Department works alongside all teachers and staff in the school to provide access to the curriculum for those with special educational needs and disabilities. The SENDCo, team of Mentors, Student Support Centre Manager, counsellor and team of Teaching Assistants work with teachers and students in lessons and during specific intervention time, to ensure all students have access to the support they need in school.
We also co-ordinate support from our speech and language therapist, our behaviour therapist, Haringey Emotional Wellbeing Service, educational psychologists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
